Dr. David Salgado, DOM

David Salgado began practicing Oriental Medicine in 1994. He was an instructor at Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque for many years, currently serves as a site visitor for the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) to accredit acupuncture colleges under the Department of Education and he helps administer the New Mexico Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NMBAOM) practical examinations for candidate licensure in New Mexico. He practices in Albuquerque as a mobile practitioner and at Desert Herbals in Socorro on Thursdays and Fridays. His specialties include sports injuries, pain relief in general, women’s health and general balancing, but has worked with many various complex health issues over the years. He enjoys hiking with his Corgi mix, playing a gong and helping care for his aging mother and father.
